The Pure Kona Markets spring schedule is every Friday from 9 am – 2 pm and every Sunday 9 am – 2 pm. The market is located at the Amy Greenwell Botanical Gardens in Captain Cook, on the Big Island of Hawaii. Formerly the South Kona Green Market, this local farmers and artists market was founded with the intention of “From the land – By our hand”.
A unique mix of vendors ranging from fresh made food and farmers of local produce, flowers and coffee, to local artist and craftsmen including jewelry, pottery, clothing, photography, woodwork and carving. We also have healing professionals such as massage, chiropractors, veterinarians and those providing spiritual healing.
Our food represents the different cultures and flavors of our Hawaiian Island. We have a variety of produce and fresh fruits, vegetable and herbs, new and different each week. We also feature local 100% Kona Coffee, fresh juices, honey, and jams & jellies to taste or take home as gifts.
As our markets grow, we strive to promote regional agriculture by providing small family farms the opportunity to sell their locally grown products directly to consumers, to ensure that all our locals and visitors alike have access to the freshest, most nutritious locally grown food the region has to offer. We are also EBT friendly.
Once you arrive at the market, you will be greeted with Live Local Music. Shawn “Kalima” Cantor and his talented group of musical artist will start the morning with their style & energy. Shawn is also the manager & co-coordinator of our music. At noon the music will feature Derek Kalima (pictured) who will take us through the afternoon with his style of music. Come dance with us!
We provide ample parking at the upper parking lot behind the building, with an overflow parking lot nearby. Handicap parking and access is also available. We also provide free WiFi.
Formerly the South Kona Green Market, this local farmers and artists market was founded with the intention of “From the land – By our hand”. Only vendors that offer 100% grown or made in Kona (non-imports) are allowed to participate at our Sunday Green Market.
Recently we started our Pure Kona Friday Market in the same location, designed for the many talented vendors that don’t qualify for our Green Market Rules. So you will see imports, and semi made in Hawaii items along with some of our Green Market Vendors.
